AMITA DAMANI DDS
Dr. Damani is a Board Certified Specialist of Pediatric Dentistry. She grew up in Sugar Land, TX where she attended Clements High School. After graduating high school she attended The University of Houston where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in nutrition and pre-dentistry. Dr. Damani then attended New York University College of Dentistry in New York, NY where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2007. After dental school she completed a general practice residency at NY Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University. Following her hospital training, she completed two years of specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, where she was Chief Resident. Dr. Damani is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists.
PRIYA RAO DMD
Dr. Priya Rao has been delivering outstanding dental care for over 14 years. Dr. Rao received a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 1998 from Dr. MGR Medical University in India. After graduating with Honors, she worked as a dental and surgical resident at the Sundaram Medical Foundation Hospital in India. Dr. Rao then earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree with Honors from the Advanced Standing Program of Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2004. She was awarded the Omega Kappa Upsilon Award for her academic achievements. Dr. Rao practiced family dentistry for two years in Cincinnati, OH before relocating to Houston. She has been exclusively practicing children’s dentistry in the Greater Houston area since 2008 because she loves working with children. Dr. Rao resides in Seven Meadows, Katy with her husband and their two children, who attend Katy- area schools. In her spare time, Dr. Rao volunteers for Girl Scout and Junior Achievement activities in her children’s schools and enjoys travelling, cooking and reading. Dr. Rao is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and Greater Houston Dental Society.
ANJUM KHERANI DMD
Dr. Anjum Kherani grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and attended The George Washington University where she graduated with Honors in a Bachelor of Science degree. After college, she moved to Philadelphia, PA, to pursue her Doctorate in Dental Medicine at Temple University, Kornberg School of Dentistry, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She then completed a two-year pediatric residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. Here, she received intensive training treating children with a wide range of medical and dental needs. Dr. Kherani is a board certified pediatric dentist and an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Board of Pediatric Dentists- College of Diplomats, the Texas Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Kherani has recently moved to Houston from New York City where she was had been practicing for 3 years. In her spare time, Dr. Kherani enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling, reading, and exploring Houston. She is very excited to join Pediatric Dental Safari and looks forward to meeting and treating your child’s needs in a personalized and fun manner!
